About this shoot:
This series of images was specifically shot for publication by Fuse. Since she and I started shooting 9 months ago, her main intention for publication was to be shown in this magazine. We shot a number of sets in those 9 months, and tried a few different looks and concepts, but the previous two sets we sent in were not taken. We were hoping that this series would be the one to get us to the goal.
Franee and I shot this on a very warm, cloudy day in July at a private beach in Springfield. We shot in a number of places on the beach, with bikinis and a dress, saving this shower scene for the last. I had to modify the shower nozzel to be high enough where it would stream down upon her, as it's normal use is to rinse off sand on the feet. We played around with the water stream for 5 minutes to make sure that it would gently fall over her in the right places. Unfortunatley for Franee, there was no hot water in the nozzel, and the water was getting colder as we went along. We shot this scene in 20 minutes, with the top and without (as an implied) - by the end of the shoot, Franee was shivering and blue! But, when we looked on the back of the camera at the images we captured, she was very satisfied.
